Dentals

Since it is dental health week, most of the surgery days are filled with teeth cleaning and extractions. I find these days very interesting because like human dentist they take x-rays to look at the teeth to decide if it is rotting or needs pulled. This is very unique, not very many vet clinics have a dental x-ray machine. The procedure involves cleaning, brushing, and even putting fluoride on their teeth just like humans. Since we are trying to hit a goal number each week this month these days can consist of 4 or more cleanings each morning. This can be hard because we have to make sure we are done with them all in time for normal appointments. We can't make clients wait in the room for a doctor because we are still doing dentals.
