Dogs Have Baby Teeth Too!

This puppy came in to be spayed, but when the techs looked closer they realized she still had one of her baby teeth. Generally these puppy teeth fall out on their own, similar to humans, but not always. They called this a retained deciduous tooth and it should have fallen out between three to seven months of age. If the tooth would have stayed it can result in the permanent teeth being in the wrong position leaving an incorrect bite pattern. The doctor decided it would be best to pull the tooth so they did it while the doggy was still under from her spay surgery.
